Guided by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, that innovation is a fundamental pillar of government development and shaping the future, the Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation was established in 2014 to serve as a catalyst for advancing government work and a driver for strengthening innovation and transforming it into a sustainable institutional practice that enhances the preparedness and competitiveness of the UAE Government.
The Centre works to develop an integrated government innovation ecosystem that empowers government entities and talent to explore opportunities, develop ideas, experiment with new solutions, and transform them into practices and projects that deliver tangible impact. Through developing capabilities, methodologies and tools, launching platforms, challenges and government experiments, and building partnerships with leading institutions and experts at the national and global levels, the Centre continues to expand the reach of innovation and accelerate its application across different areas of government work.
The Centre’s ambition is for innovation to go beyond the boundaries of ideas and become a means to achieve results and create impact, redesign government work, respond to national priorities, and develop new models for a more agile, efficient and future-ready government, further strengthening the UAE’s position among the world’s most innovative and leading governments.
