The Emirates Health Services Corporation (EHSC) has launched a strategic partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation to develop and implement the ‘Artificial Memories’ project to improve the quality of life for Alzheimer's and memory impairment patients using innovative technological solutions that were first unveiled at the Arab Health 2025 exhibition and conference.

The ‘Artificial Memories’ project is based on the creation of digital models of personal memories using generative artificial intelligence. This technology reconstructs lost memories and creates realistic images and videos that recreate moments in patients' lives that have faded over time. This innovation combines artificial intelligence and psychology to enhance the quality of life of psychiatric patients by recovering memories of special value to them.

Huda Al Hashimi, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, emphasized that the wise leadership believes in the importance of developing responsible artificial intelligence and employing its innovative solutions and transformative potential in all vital sectors related to the quality of life of society and focuses on encouraging technological innovation based on its high awareness of the pivotal role of technology in shaping the paths of the future.

Huda Al Hashimi said that the strategic partnership between MBRGIC and the Emirates Health Services Corporation to employ artificial intelligence to improve the lives of Alzheimer's patients reflects the Center's commitment to translate the government's directives to develop and support innovative projects aimed at expanding the areas of applications and solutions enhanced by technology and artificial intelligence to include vital sectors such as health, education, economy and society.

Dr. Yousef Mohammed Al Serkal, Director General of Emirates Health Services Corporation, explained that the project reflects the Corporation's keenness to employ technology to provide effective solutions to health challenges, as it represents a qualitative leap in humanitarian technological innovation.

He explained that the project is not only a technological innovation, but also aims to enhance the quality of life of the elderly by enabling patients to retrieve their lost memories in an interactive and realistic manner, which contributes to improving their daily life and enhancing their sense of psychological stability.

The project team is working in collaboration with researchers and experts at Al Amal Mental Health Hospital to develop this technology according to the local context of the UAE and to study the effectiveness of its clinical application on the quality of life of elderly patients to ensure the best results.

The ‘Artificial Memories’ project is one of 19 innovative projects being showcased by Emirates Health Services Corporation as part of its participation as the exclusive health services partner at the 50th edition of the Arab Health 2025 exhibition and conference.

The strategic partnership with Emirates Health Services Corporation is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation's efforts to support and launch advanced business models that enable government entities to continuously test and develop ideas to ensure the achievement of results with a clear and tangible impact that can be applied at the level of the UAE in line with government visions and societal aspirations, which contributes to the development and application of transformative innovations and the promotion of partnerships and government-community integration aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals and society, thus establishing the UAE as a global model for progress and prosperity of societies.
