Minister of Cabinet Affairs Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi said that the UAE, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has established pioneering experiences in government management and turned innovation into a distinctive feature of a government work model centered on creating a positive impact and improving society.
Mohammed Al Gergawi said on the occasion of the conclusion of the UAE Innovation Month “UAE Innovates 2025”, which was organized under the supervision of the Mohammed bin Rashid Center for Government Innovation throughout February, under the theme “The Power of Innovation 10 - Where does your power lie?”, that “UAE Innovates” reflects a leadership thought that over 10 years has created a stimulating environment for government and community innovation, in which everyone shares the celebration of innovation as a government methodology and community culture.
The closing ceremony of UAE Innovate 2025 saw the winners of the fifth edition of the UAE Innovate Award honored, as well as the partners and contributors to the success of the month, which is the largest national event of its kind to celebrate innovation, which focused on the role of innovation in achieving positive impact, in line with the UAE's directives and visions in the Year of the Community.
The UAE Innovation Award covered six categories: The best innovation in the use of resources, the best innovation in achieving digital leadership, the best innovation in facilitating government procedures, the best radical innovation, the best innovation in achieving sustainability, and a special award for the best innovation in community impact.
The Dubai Weddings project team at the Dubai Community Development Authority (CDA) won the Best Innovation in Community Impact category, the Digital Transmission Stations project at the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) won the Best Innovation in Digital Leadership category, and the Muntaji project from Dubai Municipality and the Smart Inspection Vehicle project from the Ministry of Interior won the Best Innovation in Facilitating Government Procedures category.
In the Best Innovation in Sustainability category, the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure's Surface Temperature Measurement Platform for the Industrial Sector won, and the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Center's Pre-assembled Villas and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security's Fast and Smart Travel System at UAE Airports won the Best Disruptive Innovation category.
UAE Innovation Month is the largest national event of its kind to celebrate innovation in government and society.
